Director's review of the film Blossom Sisters
"Blooming Sisters" condenses my profound insights over the past ten years. It is like a cup of espresso coffee, extracting the stories of countless people around me and paying tribute to that period of Hong Kong that remains in my memory. It was an era of bright fireworks and countless people chasing their dreams. We lived in it and experienced passion and madness. In this film, I not only tell the story of love, but also delve into the multifaceted nature of family, love and friendship. These emotions are intertwined in our lives and become a drama of joys and sorrows on the stage of life.
The film also offers a profound meditation on human nature. Although we have faced selfishness, greed and indifference, we have also witnessed the greatness of maternal love. This selfless power can even make mothers sacrifice work and marriage for their children. As times change, these stories have become a thing of the past, but I feel it is necessary to pay tribute to that bygone era through this work, so that people today can hear the voices from our era.
Life teaches us to grow, and in the process of growth, every choice comes with a price. We should cherish the happiness we have now instead of blindly chasing unattainable dreams. In the pursuit of perfect love, we are bound to make mistakes, but learning to forgive is the key to a better life. Accepting imperfection is the normal state of life, because this is real life. As Zhao Xiaoli said in the film: "We are destined to experience many difficulties, but we will also learn to love, learn to forgive, and learn to cherish." The two heroines eventually grew up in the trials of life and realized their dreams, and the film The ending also ends perfectly with the theme of regaining family happiness.
In this work, I quoted five classic lines from Shakespeare as five chapters summarizing growth, and combined them with the artistic interpretation of ballet to add a strong literary flavor to the film. Even though the film wasn't perfect from a technical standpoint, as a zero-budget production, it exceeded my expectations and was a miracle to me. I sincerely thank all the cast and crew who volunteered to participate in the production. It is your enthusiasm and dedication that made this film a success. Together we created this miracle. I would also like to thank the Lord for giving me the inspiration and strength to create, so that the themes of love, family and hope can be fully displayed both inside and outside the play.
All glory to the Lord, Amen!
